On The Road: American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of HOC
This is a brand new sries where I take IC Fantasia with me to my musical performances, events, and speaking engagements as I travel around the country living my dreams. Last month I performed at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life of HOC in Oxnard, CA. This event is one of the largest relay events in Ventura County and I love supporting this organization.
HOC stands for the cities of Port Hueneme, Oxnard, and Camarillo. Each year more than 5,000 Relay for Life events take place in over 20 countries of the world. I handed out free IC Fantasia product samples to the attendees which were the Argan Oil Smoothing Serum and Argan Oil Curl Pudding.
I've been supporitng the American Cancer Society for over a decade now. Even though i'm grateful to be able to sing and share inspirational messages with thousands of people in attendance, I'm the most thanksful for the people I've been able to hug and encourage over the years.
There were cancer fighters and survivors who came up to me after shows in tears telling me how much my voice and presence means to them. When I sang certain songs, it reminded them to keep going and feel strong along with their families. Charity work is a large part of my foundation and I will always donate my time, resources, and gifts to help those in need.
